We work in a diversity of cutting-edge industries, such as: Power and Automation, Renewable Energy, Field Evaluation Services and Industrial Functional Safety.   • Leads all aspects of the Sales Function of Energy & Industrial Automation Unit.
  • Guides and supports change initiatives and new business models.
  • Champions an engaged, inclusive and attractive work environment for UL employees with a winning culture.
  • Develops, communicates, and manages the successful performance of regional revenue goals and manages budgets.
  • Understands and effectively leverages customer, industry, and internal sales information to drive performance and sustain a competitive edge.
  • Directs the development and execution of customer relationship plans that detail business goals and strategies which deliver customer solutions.
  • Manages and improves sales strategies and processes and ensures their execution within the team of direct reports.
  • Develops and motivates sales professionals by coaching and transferring the knowledge of sales techniques, service offerings and industry knowledge to drive results.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance.
  • Leads client engagement by developing and managing relationships with key decision makers for large and medium customers.
  • Collaborates closely with other COU Leadership to promote cross selling.


  • 4 Year University Degree in Technical or Business specialization.
  • Generally, 8 years of experience in sales, preferably in a role of Key Account Manager.
  • Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience. Experience in management of international team would be an asset.
  • Fluent or at least advanced German and strong command of English are mandatory.
  • A resourceful, decisive and dynamic leader. An individual with a strong sense of purpose, integrity, a compelling desire to succeed.
  • Human and engaging, building a culture of trust, inspiration, drive and growth.
  • Strong technical and business/economic foundation, including, sales strategy development, sales tracking, and measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers throughout all levels of their organization which include highly visible activities such as negotiating or presenting.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate technical requirements documents.
  • Industry expertise preferably in the TIC market - Testing, Inspection Certification or EIA related industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with CRM (knowledge of Salesforce is nice to have).
  • Flexibility, openness to changing environment and availability to business travel and work outside of the office.
  • Located in Germany.
