UL’s Built Environment Division provides the highest level of technical knowledge, expertise and testing, inspection and certification, advisory and commissioning services to support our customers globally throughout the entire life cycle of their products and buildings. UL plays a critical role and acts as a trusted partner to various stakeholders in the built environment and building products industry by understanding buildings, building regulations and codes and requirements and by providing proactive insights on safe, secure and sustainable buildings, risk management solutions and tenant wellness and safety validations.


  • New account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory by direct sales of ULs products, systems, and/or services to highest profile customers.
  • Identifying and pursuing prospects through various lead generated activities, including: tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling, on key industry players and referral program.
  • Meeting with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria and their needs.
  • Developing sales presentations for potential new clients. Leading the sales presentations in support of growing the clientele for ULs services.
  • Providing value propositions, handling objections, preparing quotes and closing sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
  • Retaining existing customers that are not managed by account management teams.
  • Supporting junior staff in the identification and evaluation of important customer information.


  • Around 3+ years of working experience in direct sales and/or with high level customers.
  • Technical knowledge around products/services/systems, preferably in Built industry or/and fire protection related products.
  • Relevant Degree in a related discipline (preferably in commercial or technical field).
  • Industry expertise preferably in the TIC market (Testing, Inspection Certification) and/or service-related industry is a plus.
  • Advanced English language skills (other languages knowledge is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM would be an asset.
  • Positive attitude and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to solve problems and provide best solutions.
  • Outgoing personality and good presentation skills.
  • Availability to travel of up to 50% of the work time. Located in Denmark, Sweden or Northern Germany is preferable.
