Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (m/f)

You will lead to change by engaging executives and various teams to adopt Lean Six Sigma in solving complex issues and identifying new opportunities by applying strategic insight, intellectual honesty and process improvement experience to achieve results. Thus, you are to drive a culture of customer focus, data-driven decision making, ownership of processes and operational metrics.

For our 3 business units, we drive meaningful shift in areas such as business model transformation, affordability, service improvement, new services and regulatory compliance.


Responsible things you get to do:

Partner with managers and stakeholders by providing support, tools and training to effectively deploy Lean Six Sigma tools for their Business Unit or Programs for process improvement, design and ongoing daily management, including:

  • Identification, prioritization, execution, meaningful review and replication of projects linked to operating and strategic objectives
  • Recruitment, development and placement of Champions, Black Belts and Green Belts
  • Deploying metrics and process management to hold project gains, pursue data-driven daily management, and to call out opportunities for improvement
  • Holding periodic, focused reviews with business leadership to assess progress, status and issues in achieving program goals
  • Mentor Champions, Black Belts and Green Belts to effectively apply Lean Six Sigma in projects and daily work to deliver business results.
  • Deliver financial improvement, defect reduction and cycle time improvement.
  • Deliver Lean Six Sigma training including: Black Belt, Champion, Green Belt and other components of a fully-deployed Lean Six Sigma curriculum.

As a member of the ULU team, play a strategic role in developing the infrastructure for the company’s deployment, like development and customization of training, certification standards, project tracking, financial tracking or benchmarking of industry best practices

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics or Research Methods, with Masters or MBA preferable
  • Required Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification or equivalent.
  • Several years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
  • Experience coaching more than 10 Black Belt projects from initiation to successful completion or min. 12 months as Master Black Belt
  • Experience teaching Lean Six Sigma tools, methods and concepts at the Black Belt level.
  • Experience facilitating and leading teams, being able to explain complex concepts in simple forms at any level of the organization
  • Experience in the DMAIC, Lean and DFSS core methods and tools of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Willing to travel more than 30% of the time.
