In one part of our company we offer full-service CRO services in the field of clinical trials with medical devices, combined products and in-vitro diagnostics. Emergo has joined UL in 2017 and has strengthened our market position in this area.



We are expanding our team, therefore we are looking for an experienced


Manager Clinical Affairs / Projektmanager klinische Studien (m/f)


(HomeOffice-based Germany, Benelux or UK)


Key objective:

As Manager Clinical Affairs, you will take ownership of clinical study projects, including their proper progress, cost containment and other key operational and managerial aspects including but not limited to the review / generation of proposed clinical investigational protocols and other trial related documentation. You will provide input into the evaluation of the feasibility of a proposed project from a clinical affairs perspective, preferably prior to its acceptance. As the Manager Clinical Affairs, you will closely liaise with the sponsor, the trial coordinator responsible for data entry, statistician, data base manager, and other relevant staff within and outside UL, in order to ensure a timely and cost-efficient evolvement of the study projects under your responsibility.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assume project responsibility in the role of project manager for clinical studies including planning, execution, budget management, coordination of the study team and regular contact with the client
  • Review/generation of clinical investigational protocols and other trial related documents
  • Selection of suitable trial centers and contract management
  • Planning and organization of study logistics
  • Preparation of status reports and study documents such as the trial plan, CRF, declaration of consent


Your profile:

  • Preferably a PhD in Life Science or Bioengineering or comparable expertise Experience in clinical studies, ideally with AMG and MPG
  • Broad understanding of all activities needed in clinical trials (such as statistics, data management, monitoring etc.), basic statistical knowledge highly desirable
  • A winning appearance in customer contact
  • Scientific, analytic thinking
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, organizational talent and commitment
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Willingness to travel (30-50%)
